什么是白血病

The group of cancers that start in cells that make up our blood are called leukemias. Leukemia subtypes are based on what type of blood-forming cells are impacted and if the cancer grows fast or slow. Treatment options may include radiation, chemotherapy, targeted drug therapy, immunotherapy and stem cell or bone marrow transplant.1

There are projected to be 59,610 people diagnosed with leukemia in the United States in 2023. While leukemias are less common in adults than cancers like breast, prostate or lung, leukemia is the most common cancer in children and teens. Acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL) is the most common type of leukemia in children; chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is the most common type of leukemia in adults.2
