Clinical support tailored to patient needs

TherapEase Cuisine®

  • Patients receiving cancer treatment through Accredo have 24/7 access to nutrition articles written by Accredo’s board-certified specialist in oncology nutrition (CSO) on topics ranging from how to manage side effects to how to read nutrition labels. Patients can login to their Accredo profile to visit TherapEase Cuisine® in the quick links menu.

Clinician education

  • Accredo oncology pharmacists and nurses receive training, empowering our front-line clinicians to have more effective conversations with patients and caregivers about common nutritional needs for cancer patients and ways to mitigate side effects.

Support for more complex needs

  • Patients with more complex needs, such as severe unintentional weight loss or acute nutrition-related side effects can be referred by a nurse or pharmacist to work one-on-one with Accredo’s oncology dietitian.

61% of Accredo oncology patients who were assessed by our dietitian reported they had not previously received care from a dietitian since their cancer diagnosis. The primary reason cited by patients for not receiving prior care was lack of a referral to a dietitian. Read more about our study here.
